## Solution

1. Login to the User Center at https://usercenter.checkpoint.com

2. Select 'Assets-Info' \> 'Product Center'.

3. From the left-hand menu, select the account in which the product is registered.

4. A product listing will then be displayed.

5. Check the box to the left of the product(s) you wish to license.

6. Click the 'License' button.

7. Complete all required fields:

   1. License type Security Management products should always be licensed to the IP of the Management server.

      1. SmartEvent and Logging solutions should be licensed to the IP of the respective SmartEvent or Logging server.
      2. In Management HA, each management license should be generated to the IP of the respective Management server.

   2. Version Software Blade licenses are required for R75.10 and higher:

      1. NGX Architecture This version can be selected for all versions R75 and below. It is required for R65 and below.

8. Click the 'License' button (choose 'Change' if relicensing a product).

**Note:**

Upon generating a new license, the Registration Confirmation is emailed to the individual generating the license, and contains a copy of the license file (CPLicenseFile.lic), as well as Command Line instructions (cplic put command).

Both the license file and CLI instructions can be obtained through the License Generation Confirmation screen by selecting 'Get License' and/or 'Show License Info', respectively.

Check Point recommends using Smart Update to apply license files. Please see sk98529 "Managing and Installing license via SmartUpdate" for more information
