# sk98306 - How to update contract offline

## Solution

1. Log into the **User Center**
2. Under the **Assets / Info** or **My Check Point** , select **Product Center (new)** ![](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/sc/SolutionsStatics/sk98306/userCenterPic202312031311592.jpg)  

3. elect the accounts the products you need to update the contracts for are under and click **View Products** ![](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/sc/SolutionsStatics/sk98306/prodCen1202312031316413.jpg)  

4. Open the dropdown menu (click on the three dots "...") and select **Get Contracts File** ![](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/sc/SolutionsStatics/sk98306/prodCen2202312031317404.jpg)  

   You will see a file named *ServiceContract.xml* was downloaded to your desktop.  

5. Open **SmartUpdate**
6. Click **License \& Contract \>** **Update Contracts \>** **From File**
7. Choose the *ServiceContract.xml* that was previously downloaded. Once doing so the contracts will be added automatically to the license.

8. To confirm the contracts were updated log into the device and run the command `cplic print`.  
   You should see in the output the list of contracts and their expiration date:  

   `# ID Expiration SKU`  
   `===+===========+============+====================`  

   `1 | <ID> | <Date> | <Blade SKU>`  

   ` +-----------+------------+--------------------`  

   ` |Covers: <License String>`  

   `===+===========+============+====================`  

9. If you do not see the contracts in the output or if the expiration date is not updated run the command: `contract_util mgmt`  

10. If you do not see the contracts in the output or if the expiration date is not updated after running the command copy the ServiceContract.xml file to your device using WinSCP or a similar program and run the command: `cplic contract put -o <filename>.xml`
