# sk97907 - "Due to changes you made in the Topology table, VPN Link Selection configuration is no longer valid" error

## Symptoms

- "Due to changes you made in the Topology table, VPN Link Selection configuration is no longer valid" error after changing within the topology an IP address that is used by the VPN Blade

## Cause

This is a GUI message which occurs while editing a Security Gateway Object's Topology within SmartDashboard because changes to the topology are currently not being automatically updated within the Gateway's VPN Link Selection. This must be updated manually.

## Solution

1. Within the Gateway Properties, go to the IPSec VPN / Link Selection and ensure that the correct IP address is being used.   
   If the IP address is selected from the topology table, re-select the correct IP address from the drop-down list.  

2. At the bottom of the Link Selection page press the bottom "Source IP address settings.." and ensure that the correct IP address is selected from the drop-down list.
