## Solution

To install the UserCheck Client for all users on a Windows computer:

1. Get the UserCheck Client MSI file from the Security Gateway in **one** of these ways:
   * Download the UserCheck Client from the Security Gateway using an SCP client
     Note - The SCP user must have the default shell `/bin/bash` in Gaia OS.
     The same MSI package is located in these directories:
     * *$UCPORTALDIR_HOME/htdocs/UserCheck/client/Check_Point_UserCheck.msi* Example:
       `/opt/CPUserCheckPortal/htdocs/UserCheck/client/Check_Point_UserCheck.msi`
     * *$DLPDIR/thin_client_pkg/Check_Point_UserCheck.msi* Example:
       `/opt/CPsuite-R81.20/fw1/dlp/thin_client_pkg/Check_Point_UserCheck.msi`
   * Download the UserCheck Client from the Security Gateway object in SmartConsole:
     Note - Before you can use this link, you must install an Access Control policy at least one time so that the UserCheck Web Portal starts.
     1. From the left navigation panel, click **Gateways \& Servers**.
     2. Double-click the Security Gateway object.
     3. Enable one of these Software Blades:
        * Anti-Bot
        * Anti-Virus
        * Application Control
        * Content Awareness
        * Data Loss Prevention
        * Threat Emulation
        * Threat Extraction
        * URL Filtering
        * Zero Phishing
     4. From the left tree, click **UserCheck**.
     5. In the section **UserCheck Client** , click the link **Download Client**.
     6. The download opens in your default web browser.
2. Use the Microsoft database table editor **orca.exe** (available in the Windows SDK Components for Windows Installer Developers - see <https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/msi/orca-exe>) to open the **Check_Point_UserCheck.msi** package.
3. In the registry table, change the **registry9** root value to **-1** and save the changes.
4. On the user endpoint computer, install the client with this syntax:
   ***Check_Point_UserCheck.msi /l\*v "C:\\UserCheck_Install_Log.txt" ALLUSERS=1 USERCHECK4="C:\\Program Files\\CheckPoint\\UserCheck\\" INSTALLDIR="C:\\Program Files\\CheckPoint\\UserCheck\\"***

**Important:**Working with UserCheck client for more than one user on the same PC is supported only if the users log off and not switch users when they hand the PC over.
