# sk95806 - How to upload a Gaia OS backup file to a specific folder on SCP/FTP Server

## Symptoms

- * The user cannot specify a particular target folder to which the backup files should be uploaded when using SCP/FTP on Gaia OS.

* *backup* command in Expert mode fails with error:

  `
  [Expert@HostName:0]# backup --sched on <TIME> -w <VALUE> `**--scp**` <IP_Address> <username> <password> -path `**<*/PATH_TO/FOLDER*>**   
  `
  '`*/PATH_TO/FOLDER*`.sched':2: bad minute
  errors in crontab file, can't install.
  `

## Cause

The use of '`backup`' and '`restore`' CLI commands in Expert mode on Gaia is not supported; refer to [sk92308 - Gaia OS Backup and Gaia OS Restore operations are not supported in Expert mode](http://supportcontent.checkpoint.com/solutions?id=sk92308).
