# sk95598 - "Failed to save CRC database" error in SmartDashboard at the end of online IPS update

## Symptoms

- * "`Internal error: Failed to save CRC database`" error in SmartDashboard at the end of online IPS update.  

  Progress bar displays "`Applying updates and rebuilding protection categories...`".

* "`IPS Scheduled Updated ended with error: Failed to update db`" message appears when entering the IPS Scheduled Update configuration.

* Output of *df -kh* command on Security Management Server shows less than 10-20% free disk space in root (/) partition.

* SmartLog index is consuming disk space.
