## Symptoms

- * Assigning Global Policy to a CMA is failing with the following errors:
* cma1 : Assign Global Policy operation started.  
  cma1 : Modifying Global Objects in Domain Management Server database  
  cma1 error: The object: abc123, cannot be deleted because it is referenced by another object: tagged_object_29884984, that cannot be deleted  
  cma1 error: The object: xyz123, cannot be deleted because it is referenced by another object: tagged_object_29876203, that cannot be deleted  
  cma1 error: Removing deleted global objects has failed.  
  cma1 error: Error while assigning global objects to the Domain Management Server  
  cma1 error: Disconnected from Domain Management Server.   
  Check Domain Management Server status. Operation failed.

## Cause

The object cannot be deleted because it is referenced by another object.
