## Solution

To add a new user to your account:

1. Log into [User Center](https://usercenter.checkpoint.com/usercenter/index.jsp)

2. Click "Assets/Info".

3. In "My Accounts", click "Accounts".

4. Select the account you wish to add the new user by clicking the company number.

5. Click the "contacts" tab on the left, click on "Add User" icon.

6. Enter the new user's username (email address).

7. Designate the access level for the user by marking one of the following boxes:

   * **Administrator** - allows a user to add/remove other users for this company. The administrator of the User Center account is NOT required to be selected as a Support Contact in order to receive technical assistance.

   * **Licenser** - allows a user to activate product licenses

   * **Viewer** - allows a user view only access (cannot generate licenses)

   * **Support Contact** - allows the user to contact Technical Services if the account is covered with valid support. (Do not list administrators as Support Contacts as they already have permissions)

   * **Primary Contact**- User will receive emails about renewals, users being added/removed from the UC, and product moved

If necessary, designate the user as **Support Contact** - allows the user to contact Technical Services for support based on a registered support contract.(Note - an administrator of the supported User Center account can open SR's without the **Support Contact** flag.)
8. Click "Submit".

If the new user has not yet created a profile the message "*User '\[new user's e-mail address\]*' was not found. You may create an account for them here" will appear. Click on the link and complete the requested information. The new user will be granted a temporary account, and will be e-mailed a temporary password. The new user will be asked to properly complete their profile information during their first login.

**Note** - only an account Administrator has the permissions necessary to add new users to an account. Once the user(s) are added to an account you may experience a synchronization delay in opening cases. This could be 30 minutes to 24 hours.
