## Solution

[**UEFI Touchscreen Support Test Tool**](http://supportcontent.checkpoint.com/file_download?id=25324) has been developed to determine whether a particular UEFI firmware supports touchscreen input.

Usage:
------

1. Format an empty USB drive with FAT32 file system using Windows OS:   

   1. Go to '`My Computer`'
   2. Right-click on the USB drive
   3. Choose '`Format...`'
   4. In the dialog, under '`File system`', choose '`FAT32`'
   5. Click on '`Start`'
   6. Wait for completion.

2. Copy the EFI folder in the archive to the root of the formatted USB drive.   

3. Disable the Secure Boot on the UEFI machine to be tested (because the tool is not signed for Secure Boot mode).   

4. Boot from the USB drive on the computer to be tested. Make sure the USB drive is booted in UEFI mode.

Explanations:
-------------

* If the UEFI firmware is functioning according to requirements, you will be presented with a blue background and any touch input on the device will render a box marker around the area where the contact was made.  

* If there are any issues with the Absolute Pointer Protocol, this marker will either not be rendered, or rendered in the wrong location in relation to where the contact was made.  

* If the UEFI machine does not support touchscreen input in UEFI environment at all, an error message will be presented and the test will halt.

Notes:
------

* After the tool has been used, Secure Boot should be re-enabled to ensure secure operation of the machine.
* This tool is made to work on both x64 and x86 platforms.
