# sk92884 - Check Point files and Registry Keys still exist on machine after complete uninstall

## Symptoms

- * Uninstalling Check Point from 'Programs and Features' menu, using CPClean and Master, does not remove all Folders, Sub Folders, Registry Keys, and Sub Keys from the machine.
* Errors:
  * An unexpected problem has occurred and P95tray needs to close. An error report was not generated
  * Fatal Error 1 while loading language'
  * Missing 1127
* Still seeing Check Point Pre-boot wallpaper upon reboot.

## Solution

**Note: Check Point strongly recommends that you backup your registry before implementing the below procedure.**

1. Run regedit to open a registry and find the following:  
   *\> Pointsec* *\> check point* *\> media encryption* (If this blade/software was installed)  
   **Note**: Run a search several times to find all registry entries
2. Delete these entries and reboot.
3. When the machine boots back, locate the Check Point folders in *Program Files* or *Program Files (x86)* for x64 bit machine, *ProgramData* , and in the *Common Files* folder.
4. After deleting these folders, empty the Recycle Bin and reboot the machine again.

**Note:**This article should not be relevant to newer versions. Uninstall should remove the files created.
