# sk92761 - Certificates imported to the Microsoft CAPI store using VPN GUI can not be renewed

## Symptoms

- Internal CA P12 certificates that were imported using the VPN GUI into the CAPI store, will fail to be renewed automatically on expiration trigger, and renewal failed message will be displayed to user.

## Cause

The Microsoft certificate import API was not used correctly and missing some data, which is used during certificate renewal process.
