## Symptoms

- * When creating VSX object for Scalable Platforms an error pops up.
* "Error: Failed to find any routes on the machine"
* "Failed to resolve Management Virtual System NIC"
* VSX object creation fails.

## Cause

The *$CPDIR/conf/skip_interfaces.conf* file contains a list of interfaces that should not be used by the Security Management and therefore are not shown in the Physical Interfaces list of the VSX object.
By default *eth1-Mgmt4* does not exist in the file.

## Solution

1. Backup the *$CPDIR/conf/skip_interfaces.conf* file.
2. Remove the Management interface which is being used from *skip_interfaces.conf*file.
3. Add *eth1-Mgmt4* to *skip_interfaces.conf*
4. Save the file
5. Reset SIC
6. Restart the object creation.

**Note** : *eth1-Mgmt4* must stay UP at all times. Setting it down will cause connectivity issues even if it was not assigned with any IP address.
