# sk92262 - TACACS+ authentication packets are not encrypted

## Symptoms

- TACACS+ authentication requests are accepted by an implied rule and not encyrpted to be sent into a VPN tunnel

## Cause

Security Gateways support TACACS+ for authentication, and TACACS+ server objects can be defined in the object database on the Security Management server.

Because of this configuration, TACACS+ traffic will be accepted by an implied rule. Traffic accepted by an implied rule is not encrypted.
