# sk90101 - Endpoint Policy server displayed as "Not Active"

## Symptoms

- * Policy Server displayed as "Not Active" in the Endpoint console.
* Server_Messages.log from policy server will show the following:  
  \[2012-12-11 22:12:40,514\] ERROR - Failed to establish a connection with SIC Tunnel. Reason: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out  
  \[2012-12-11 22:12:40,514\] ERROR - Failed to open SIC-HTTP connection. Error message "Failed to establish a connection with SIC Tunnel. Reason: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out"  
  \[2012-12-11 22:12:40,514\] WARN - Error registering Connection Point
* Policy Server displayed as "Not Active" in the Endpoint console.
