# sk87522 - How to connect to the office using the SSL VPN (SSL Network Extender) on Spark Firewall?

## Solution

**This article applies to all Locally Managed Quantum Spark appliances.
Important -** Make sure the client computer meets prerequisites such as Java versions and 32-bit browsers. Refer to the [SSL Network Extender (SNX) Administration Guide](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/SSL_Network_Extender_AdminGuide/Default.htm).

**Connect**

1. Browse to the link **provided to you by your administrator**
2. If this is your first time connecting, see the section "*Connecting for the first time*" below.
3. In the popup window, enter your User Name / Password and click **OK** .  
   **You can now connect** to your organization, using encrypted traffic.  
   You can see the connection status in the popup window.  
   Click **Disconnect** in the popup window to close the connection.

**Connecting for the first time**

1. Download and install the Check Point SSL Network Extender:  
   Click **Download SSL Network Extender manual installation** .  
   Click to approve.
2. In the popup window, enter your User Name / Password and click **OK**.
3. If the latest Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is not installed, you get a prompt to install it.  
   After the installation completes, close the web browser and start the connection again.
4. Confirm a **Root CA Fingerprint** .  
   Follow the guidelines from your administrator to approve.
