# sk86881 - Changing the High Availability configuration from ClusterXL and VRRP (or from VRRP to ClusterXL) requires reboot

## Symptoms

- After changing the High Availability configuration from ClusterXL and VRRP (or from VRRP to ClusterXL) and installing the policy, the cluster members do not apply the changes. As a result, various problems arise (e.g., 'routed' process starts on both members and does not detect the cluster configuration).

## Cause

Cluster members were installed as VRRP cluster, and later were converted to ClusterXL (or were installed as ClusterXL, and later were converted to VRRP).
