# sk80820 - Some SNMP Traps require V3 USM information on Gaia OS

## Symptoms

- * After configuring SNMP on Gaia and enabling the `LinkUp/LinkDown` Trap (`linkUpLinkDown`), the traps are not sent when bringing an interface down/up, or disconnecting/reconnecting a network cable from/to that interface.

* Debugging SNMPD daemon per [sk56783](http://supportcontent.checkpoint.com/solutions?id=sk56783) shows the following error:

  `Error: You must specify a default user name using the agentSecName token`
