# sk80020 - 'Error: Could not open log file @A@/opt/CPsuite-R75.40/fw1/log@B@' when trying to view log details in SmartLog

## Symptoms

- '`Error: Could not open log file @A@/opt/CPsuite-R75.40/fw1/log@B@`' when trying to view log details in SmartLog.

## Cause

This error is the result of deletion or removal of the log file.

SmartLog is based on an indexing mechanism that keeps words from the logs and point to the logs themselves, which are kept in the regular log files.

Once the log files are deleted, the log details cannot be displayed.
