## Solution

**Domain Log Server / Customer Log Module**  
*As of R75 Customer Log Modules are now known as Domain Log Servers.*  
* *Domain Log Servers can be added / created through the SmartDomain Manager.*
* *A Domain must have at least one Domain Management Server before a Domain Log Server can be added to it.*
* *Each Domain Log Server created for the same Domain must be deployed on a different Multi-Domain Server.*
* *A Domain Log Server and Domain Management Server cannot be installed on the same Multi-Domain Server.*

**Adding a Domain Log Server (versions after R75)**

1. In the SmartDomain Manager Domain View, select a Domain, then select Add Domain Log Server from the Manage menu, or right-click the Domain and select Add Domain Log Server.
2. You are required to enter values for the displayed fields.
   1. Enter a name for the Domain Log Server.
   2. Select a Multi-Domain Server on host this Domain Log Server
3. Assign a virtual IP address to the Domain Log Server. Configuration details for creating Virtual IPs and installing licensing are similar to those of the Domain Management Server.
4. Next, fill in the license information, if required.

**Adding a Customer Log Module (versions before R75)**

1. In the MDG Customer View, select a customer, then select Add Customer Log Module from the Manage menu or right-click the Customer and select Add Customer Log Module.
2. You are required to enter values for the displayed fields.
   1. Enter a name for the CLM.
   2. Select the Container MDS on which this CLM will be maintained.
3. Assign a virtual IP address to the CLM. Configuration details for creating Virtual IPs and installing licensing are similar to those of the CMA.
4. Next, fill in the license information, if required.
