This module is designed to meet the needs of high-performance and low latency customer environments. Network security traffic can be offloaded from the general purpose CPU to the Security Acceleration Module, letting customers run many security functions in highly demanding network environments. SAM supports the maximum connection capacity of the 21000 appliance, with optional memory upgrade. Note that to achieve the maximum connection capacity possible, both the SAM and the host memory must be upgraded.
