# sk64661 - SmartEvent Correlation Unit fails to read logs from Log Server

## Symptoms

- * SmartEvent Correlation Unit fails to read logs from Log Server.  

* The following errors appear in the '`Status Details`' window:   

  `Correlation unit Cpevent (`*IP_Address* `) can't read Traffic log from log server Log_Server_Name (`*IP_Address_of_Log_Server*`)`   

  `Correlation unit Cpevent (`*IP_Address* `) can't read Audit log from log server Log_Server_Name (`*IP_Address_of_Log_Server*`)`

## Cause

The Log Server may be configured to use an old OPSEC encryption method for [Tufin "SecureTrack"](http://www.checkpoint.com/press/partners/2005/tufinsecuretrack090705.html) product, which is not supported (i.e., method) by the SmartEvent Correlation Unit.
