# sk64641 - "Object Validation Failed - Validation error in field 'xxx' at object 'firewall_properties' @ 'properties' --> The value 'X' is not in the list of valid values '{x,y,z}'" error in SmartDashboard

## Symptoms

- * "`Object Validation Failed - Validation error in field '<name>' at object 'firewall_properties' @ 'properties' --> The value '`*X*`' is not in the list of valid values '{x,y,z}'. (Code: 0x800415A6, Object Validation Failed)`" error in SmartDashboard on policy installation failure.   

* Another error:   

  "`Object Validation Failed - Server error is: Validation error in field asm_active_protection at object "AdvancedSecurityObject" @asm Validation error in filed SYN_attack_protection" --> validation error in field "SynDefender active mode ---> The value "0" is not in the list of valid values "1-2 (Code:...).`"

## Cause

Possible reasons:

1. A Global Property has been set to an invalid value within the Management database.   
   Note: in normal operation, this is not possible with Check Point GUI tools such as SmartDashboard or GuiDBedit Tool.  

2. Incorrect NAT is being configured, e.g., Address Range object or Network object being translated to Host object with NAT method Static.  

3. Invalid values in the listed IPS protection.
