# sk44726 - LDAP authentication for a particular Virtual System

## Symptoms

- Traffic capture (FW Monitor) shows that LDAP authentication packets are going out of the VSX Gateway with IP address of the VSX Gateway, and not with the IP address of the relevant Virtual System.

## Cause

The following two options are available for enabling connectivity between Virtual Systems and external authentication servers:

* **Shared** (default)
* **Private**
