## Solution

Follow the below suggested solutions when having problems with downloading files from the Check Point Support Center.

Note - To download some of the files (usually Software Downloads), you must have a [Software Subscription or Active Support plan](https://www.checkpoint.com/support-services/support-plans/). Documents are usually available to everyone.

* After I clicked a download link, the web page shows "You are not entitled to download this file", or "Insufficient Privileges for this File".
  > To download this file:
  > 1. You must [sign in](https://usercenter.checkpoint.com) to the Check Point User Center (the top right corner must show "*Welcome: \<Your Full Name\>*").
  >
  > If you are not registered yet, then sign up.
  >
  > **Note** - If the top right corner already shows your full name, try to sign out and sign in again. Try an Incognito / Private window.
  > 2. You must have a Software Subscription or a valid Support Contract in your User Center Account.

* An error appears when I try to open a **.tgz** file that I downloaded from the Check Point Support Center.
  > This problem is caused by an issue with Microsoft Internet Explorer and WinZip.
  >
  > Check Point recommends using the "Save Target As" option when downloading a file in Internet Explorer, and then opening the file from the local disk.

  <br />

* The size of the downloaded file does not match the file size that is listed on the download page.
  > This problem is probably caused by a local network problem. The download might be interrupted by local Firewall/Anti-Virus software, proxy server, connection issues with your ISP, etc.
  >
  > If you encounter this problem, try to download the file from another network.
  >
  > To make sure you have the complete file, you can compare the file size and MD5 values to the information listed on the download page.

* Google Chrome changes the \***.tgz** file extensions to \***.gz**.
  > This problem is a Google Chrome issue which is not related to Download Center and Check Point.
  >
  > This issue has been fixed. Update Google Chrome to the latest version.
  >
  > More on the issue can be found here:

  >
  > Note - Renaming the **.gz** extension to **.tgz** should also work around the issue.
