# sk41827 - Synchronization network in the cluster is flooded with Sync Retransmit packets

## Symptoms

- * Output of `cphaprob syncstat` command shows under `Other Member Updates:`   
  very high values (more than 10% of `Total generated updates`)  
  in **`Old or too-new arriving updates`** counter.

* Output of `cphaprob syncstat` command shows under `Local Updates:`   
  very high values (more than 30% of `Total generated updates`)   
  in **Recv Retransmission requests** counter   
  and in **`Recv Duplicate Retrans request`** counter.

* Output of `fw ctl pstat` command shows under `Sync:` under `Sync packets sent:`   
  very high values in **`retransmitted`** counter.

* Output of `fw ctl pstat` command shows under `Sync:` under `Sync packets received:`   
  very high values in **`retrans reqs`** counter.

* Output of `top` command and output of `vmstat` command show high utilization of CPU.

## Cause

The Sync interfaces and Sync network are flooded with Sync Retransmit packets.
