## Symptoms

- "ACEAGENT: The message entry does not exist for message ID: 100x when this occurs" message on SecurID Authentication failure.

## Solution

The ACE AGENT embeds a hash of its IP Address in the Authentication request packet that is sent to the ACE server. When the ACE server recieves this packet, it runs a hash on the expected Source IP address of the ACE AGENT and compares it to the recieved one. If they do not match, the request is denied.

The ACE server uses the defined Primary Host Agent IP address configured to derive this hash. When the ACE AGENT is multihomed, this process is problematic. If the hash is derived from any of the other IP addresses that the agent owns, then the communication fails.

To resolve the problem, create the `/var/ace/sdopts.rec` file.
This forces the ACE AGENT to use the specified IP address to derive the hash.

The sdopts.rec file should contain the following line:

`CLIENT_IP=IP-addr-of-agent`

Save the file and restart the Security gateway.
