## Solution

Proxy Replacement is done automatically if a proxy server is detected. However, in some situations customers will want to disable this feature.

You will have to upgrade to the latest SNX client (at least 800001039).

**For VPN1: (For Cluster, same file on both members (gateways))**

* Edit gateway file *$FWDIR/conf/extender/extender.html*:

1. For Internet Explorer (ActiveX):

In function Initialize(), there is a call:

*document.Extender.do_proxy_replacement = 1;*

change the value to "0"

2. For other browsers (Java):

In function InitializeApplet() add the following line at the beginning of the try code block:

*document.Extender.put_is_automatic_proxy_replacement(false);*

3. Perform cpstop/cpstart

**For Mobile Access:**

Edit file *$CVPNDIR/phpincs/SNXController.php* and remove the remark from line

*//disable_automatic_proxy_replacement();*

(placed in line range 710-761).
