# sk35120 - mdsstat returns no data after mds_restore

## Symptoms

- After successfully completing an mds_restore procedure on a new Provider-1 install, the mdsstat command returns no data.

## Cause

This issue occurs when the source MDS installation that is used by the mds_backup utility contains a different Leading VIP interface at both the Multi-Domain server (MDS) and the Customer Management Add-On (CMA) levels.
