# sk33688 - How to stop a Domain and remove its Virtual IP address and Virtual Interface

## Symptoms

- * When running the "`mdsstart`" command, all Domains and their Virtual IP addresses come up.

* When running the "`mdsstop_customer <Name_of_Domain>`" command, the Virtual IP address/interface associated with Domain is not removed.

## Cause

This is expected behaviour.

Virtual IP addresses/interfaces are only removed when running the "`mdsstop`" command.

Neither both "`mdsstop -m`" command, nor "`mdsstop_customer <Name_of_Domain>`" command remove the Virtual IP addresses/interfaces.
