## Symptoms

- "`Failed connectivity check with error:object not available`" error when running "`vsx_util`" commands (e.g., when reconfiguring a VSX gateway / when adding a new member to the cluster / when changing the interfaces).

*Example*:

```
**** Internal error: Failed connectivity check with error:object not available
**** Connectivity test for NAME_of_VSX_GATEWAY_or_MEMBER failed.
Aborting reconfiguration ...
```

## Cause

*vsx_util* utility on Security Management Server / Main Domain Management Server performs a physical connectivity test (ping) with VSX Gateway / VSX cluster member before applying the modified configuration to that VSX Gateway / VSX cluster member. This connectivity test failed.
