## Symptoms

- "SSH version 1.X is not allowed" error in SmartView Tracker when Trying to initiate SSH from a client behind a Security gateway.

## Cause

The service object "`ssh_version_2`" is used in the rule, but it does not allow backwards compatibility for SSH version 1.

## Solution

To allow SSH version 1 traffic, use the predefined TCP service object "`ssh`".

The predefined `ssh` service object allows all SSH versions, while the "`ssh_version_2`" service object only allows SSH version 2.
