## Symptoms

- The Linux Endpoint Security client upgrades to the latest available version even though the Software Deployment Policy is configured with **Do Not Install**.

## Cause

A software issue in affected Endpoint Security for Linux client versions causes the Do Not Install software deployment setting to be processed as an automatic upgrade. As a result, the client is upgraded to a newer available version instead of remaining on the current version. This issue exists in earlier maintenance releases, including version 1.28.12.
