# sk185255 - Domain Management Servers are down after a reboot due to missing virtual IP address

## Symptoms

- When starting the Domain Management Servers manually (`mdsstart_customer `), they remain active until the next reboot, when they fail again.

## Cause

The virtual IPs of the affected Domain Management Servers are missing from the MDS interface --- compare ip addr show\<interface\> with the domains' $FWDIR/conf/UserIP values.
