| Technical Level | Advanced |
| Products | Multi-Domain Security Management Server |
| Versions | R82 |

## Symptoms

- * After upgrading the Multi-Domain Security Management Server to Jumbo Hotfix Take 103 or later, API `login-to-domain` requests may fail.
  Example error:
  `{`
  ` "code": "err_login_failed",
  `
  `"message": "Authentication to server failed."`
  `}`

## Cause

A software issue introduced in R82 Jumbo Hotfix Take 103 and later may prevent successful authentication for API `login-to-domain` requests in some Multi-Domain Security Management environments.

As a result, the `login-to-domain` API call can fail with an authentication error, while other API login methods continue to function normally.
