# sk185242 - "cphwd_api_q_choose_q: qid is invalid" messages appear in /var/log/messages

## Symptoms

- The following kernel messages appear in /var/log/messages on the Security Gateway: cphwd_api_q_choose_q: qid is invalid, qid from hash:0) kernel:cphwd_api_q_choose_q: qid is invalid, qid from hash:1) The messages may appear repeatedly during traffic transmission. The Security Gateway continues to operate normally and pass traffic.

## Cause

These messages indicate that one or more Secure Network Distributors (SNDs) changed state during traffic processing.  

During traffic processing, the system can select a queue associated with a specific SND. If that SND becomes inactive, the system automatically selects an active SND and continues processing traffic.  

This behavior is expected and handled internally by the system. The messages are cosmetic and do not indicate a functional issue.
