# sk185185 - Gaia scheduled backup for Multi-Domain Security Management does not include audit logs

| Property | Value |
|----------|-------|
| Solution ID | sk185185 |
| Date Created | 2026-08-03 |
| Last Modified | 2026-08-10 |
| Technical Level | General |
| Products | Multi-Domain Security Management Server |
| Versions | R82.10, R82 |
| OS | Gaia |
| Platform | Open Server |

## Symptoms

- * A Gaia scheduled backup on a Check Point Multi-Domain Security Management Server is configured to include the audit logs and exclude the traffic logs. But after the backup and the restore, the audit logs are not restored.
* Before the backup, the Domain Management Server audit log files are in paths such as `/opt/CPmds-R82/customers/`/CPsuite-R82/fw1/log. After the restore, these audit log files are not in their original locations.

## Cause

The default Gaia backup logic in the Multi-Domain Server backup configuration file does the backup without the regular logs.
