## Symptoms

- * Remote Access VPN users authenticated with SAML disconnect shortly after their public IP address changes during network roaming.
  Examples include:
  * Switching between Wi?Fi and cellular networks
  * Moving between internet service providers
  * Receiving a new public IP address from the network provider
* Users that are disconnected do not have problems manually connecting back to RA VPN.
* Users authenticated by other methods besides SAML are not impacted.

## Cause

When a Remote Access VPN client authenticated through SAML changes its public IP address during roaming, the existing VPN session does not successfully re-establish automatically.

As a result, the VPN connection disconnects after the IP change. Users can manually create a new VPN connection successfully.
