## Symptoms

- * The administrator cannot retrieve SNMP values for the CPVIEW-MIB drop-reason object.

  For example, the following command:

  ```
  snmpwalk -m ALL -v2c -c localhost CPVIEW-MIB::fwdropDropResaons
  ```

  Output:

  ```
  Cannot find module (CPVIEW-MIB)
  CPVIEW-MIB::fwdropDropReasons: Unknown Object Identifier
  ```

* Issue typically observed when querying CPVIEW drop statistics through SNMP.
* Queries that use the corresponding numeric OID can fail, for example:

  ```
  snmpwalk -v2c -c  localhost <HOST>
  ```

  Output:

  ```
  No Such Instance currently exists at this OID
  ```

* Other SNMP OIDs return valid data.

* The same drop information appears in:

  **CPView** \> **Advanced** \> **Network** \> **Drops**

## Cause

When using standard SNMP tools with default settings, the CPVIEW-MIB is not loaded because the Check Point MIB directory is not included in the search path. The `snmpwalk` command does include the full MIB path.
