## Symptoms

- * In a Maestro Dual Site environment, one Site is "DOWN" because the Critical Device "`pull_config`" reports its status as "problem".

* The file `/var/log/pull_config_report.log` (on the affected Security Group Members) shows that multiple Virtual Systems are reporting a failure about pulling the registry.

  Example:

  `
  pull configuration failed`
  `
copying registry from remote SGM 192.0.2.1 failed`
  `
  Pull registry failed
  `
* The `$FWDIR/log/blade_config` file (on the affected Security Group Members) shows errors about the failed rgcopy operation.

  Example:

  `
  Transfer failed.`
  `
[DATE TIME | IP_ADDRESS::PORT] rgcopy_wrapper: rgcopy failed. trying again (retry number: XX) in 0.5 seconds`
  `
[DATE TIME | IP_ADDRESS::PORT] Copying registry from remote SGM 192.0.2.1 failed`
  `
  [DATE TIME | IP_ADDRESS::PORT] Pull registry failed`
  `
  ... ...`
  `
  Error: Failed to establish connection.`
  `
Error: Failed to open socket or initialize connection.
  `
* The files `/var/log/vsx_config.log` and `/var/log/vsx_config.log.err` (on the affected Security Group Members) repeatedly show:

  `[elog cluster_get_smo_ip_from_task cluster_get_smo_ip blade_config_pull_config_wrapper_main] unable to resolve sgm ip of 1_01 (try 1/1)`

## Cause

There are many sockets that are opened between multiple Security Group Members.

This prevents the copying of the registry from the SMO to the Security Group Members.
