# sk185055 - CPView does not display CPU statistics for Virtual Systems

## Symptoms

- * CPView does not display CPU statistics for Virtual Systems (including VS0) on a VSX Gateway configured for Virtual System Load Sharing (VSLS).

* The CPView daemon logs on VS0 (*$CPDIR/log/cpviewd.elg* ) show repeated errors that indicate zero CPUs and missing affinity files:  

  `UM_STAT_Cpu_classification_get_num_of_cpu_lines: returns 0`  

  `UM_STAT_Cpu_get_num_of_cores returns 0, g_numOfCpu = -1`
  `UM_STAT_Cpu_generate_instances_list_vsx: Error: both files fwk.affinity.conf, vs.affinity.conf are missing for vsid 0`

## Cause

CPViewD requires CPU affinity mapping to identify CPU cores and associate them with Virtual Systems.  
In this scenario, CPViewD cannot locate the required affinity configuration files in `$CPDIR/conf` (both `fwk.affinity.conf` and `vs.affinity.conf`). As a result, CPViewD could not determine the number of CPU cores (`g_numOfCpu` remained `-1`), and display CPU statistics.
