## Symptoms

- * After installation, the Endpoint Security client shows Disconnected status.
* The client log contains timeout errors when connecting to the cloud management service.

## Cause

During the initial installation, the Endpoint Security client uses only the Default Rule from Client Settings.
If the Default Rule does not include a Super Node, the client attempts to connect directly to the cloud service.

In environments where outbound connectivity is restricted, this connection attempt times out.
Because the first connection fails, the client cannot download the full rulebase and remains disconnected.
