# sk184935 - Cannot Disconnect Security Management Server from Legacy Infinity Portal Tenant After Region Migration

## Symptoms

- * When attempting to disconnect the Security Management Server from the Infinity Portal, the operation fails.

  **In SmartConsole**:
  > Infinity Services ? Disconnect
  >
  > Error:
  >
  > `Failed to disconnect Quantum Management environment from Infinity Portal.`

  **From the CLI on the Security Management Server**:
  > The command:
  >
  > `mgmt_cli -r true disconnect-cloud-services`
  >
  > Returns:
  > ` 
  > code: "generic_error"`  
  > `
  > message: "Failed to disconnect Quantum Management server from Infinity Portal"
  > `
* The original Infinity Portal tenant (in the previous region) is no longer available.

## Cause

After an Infinity Portal region migration (for example, EU to US), the original tenant and its cloud resources are decommissioned.

The Security Management Server remains logically associated with the previous tenant in its local configuration.

Because the tenant no longer exists, standard disconnection attempts fail.
