# sk184925 - 9000 appliance does not boot from Gaia ISO mounted through LOM Virtual Media (UEFI)

## Symptoms

- * The appliance fails to boot from a Gaia ISO mounted through Lights Out Management (LOM) virtual media.

* During UEFI boot, the appliance briefly displays the following message:  

  `Failed to open \EFI\gaia\grubx64efi - Not Found`

* The same ISO previously booted successfully.

## Cause

A stale LOM virtual media session can prevent the appliance from accessing the EFI boot loader on the mounted ISO during the next boot attempt.
