## Symptoms

- * Microsoft Office applications fail to launch after installing Check Point Endpoint Security.
* A white or blank screen appears when launching Microsoft Office applications.

## Cause

The issue occurs due to a conflict between Windows Defender Exploit Guard (WDEG) and Check Point Endpoint Security.
WDEG detects Endpoint Security's process injection (hooking) as suspicious behavior. As a result, WDEG enforces memory protection that marks memory as non-executable. This prevents Microsoft Office from completing initialization and causes the application to exit unexpectedly.
