# sk184895 - VPND and IKED restart repeatedly on Security Gateways with a high number of VTI interfaces

## Symptoms

- * VPND and IKED restart every 1-2 minutes on Security Gateways with a high number of VTI Interfaces.

* The issue does not occur on versions R81.20 and earlier.

## Cause

A software condition related to policy installation and large-scale VTI configurations can cause repeated restarts of VPND and IKED on the Security Gateway.  
This condition is triggered only in environments with a high number of VTIs and does not affect earlier releases.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:
