# sk184892 - IPv6 default route shows in Gaia Clish but is missing in the kernel routing table

## Symptoms

- * In Gaia Clish, the IPv6 default route appears configured (for example, `show route` shows `::/0`), however, in Expert mode, the kernel IPv6 routing table does not contain the default route.

* Restarting the ROUTED process does not resolve the issue.

## Cause

Router discovery is automatically configured for the users.  
When Router Advertisement (RA) processing and IPv6 autoconfiguration are enabled on an interface, peer devices may dynamically generate IPv6 addresses and react to RA traffic. This can lead to intermittent changes in the default route state.
