# sk184847 - fwm process on the Multi-Domain Server unexpectedly exits due to a corrupted Domain Log Indexer cache

| Products | Multi-Domain Security Management Server |
| Versions | R82.10, R81.20, R82 |
| OS | Gaia |

## Symptoms

- * The `fwm` daemon on the primary Multi-Domain Server unexpectedly exits and generates a large core file (for example: *fwm.\<timestamp\>.core.gz*, several hundred MB).

* The `fwm` core backtrace shows an abort during AMON and OPSEC table handling:

  ```
  oid_destroy
  amon_table_element_destructor
  OpsecTable_destroy
  amon_client_handle_table_reply
  ```

  <br />

* Doctor-log analysis and internal diagnostics show these repeated errors from the `Log_indexer` process for one of the Domain Management Servers:

  *Log_indexer\[PID\]: Error reading CPMICache for domain*

  *Log_indexer\[PID\]: Inconsistent AMON table data detected*

* After the `fwm` process unexpectedly exits, the watchdog (cpwd) restarts it, but the issue recurs intermittently and new `fwm` core files are created.

## Cause

Corrupted CPMI cache data in one of the Domain Management Server's `Log_indexer` led to invalid AMON / OPSEC data sent to `fwm`. When `fwm` processed this data, it encountered an invalid state and terminated unexpectedly.
