# sk184771 - Routed Crash on Security Group Members After Orchestrator Daemon (orchd) Stop

| OS | Gaia |

## Symptoms

- * Running the following command on the Maestro Orchestrator causes several Security Group Members (SGMs) to transition to DOWN:
  `orchd stop`
* Cluster / firewall logs show the state change caused by:
  `ROUTED PNOTE`
* The routing process (routed) exits unexpectedly due to an assertion related to Open Shortest Path First (OSPF): This can be seen in routing log at: `$FWDIR/log/routed.log`
  Example:
  `Assertion failed ... ospf/ospf_flood.c:3738`

## Cause

A software condition in the OSPF Link?State Advertisement (LSA) retransmission handling triggers an internal assertion in `ospf_flood.c`. This leads to an unexpected termination of the routed process.
After the process exits, the platform reports a `ROUTED PNOTE`, and affected SGMs transition to DOWN.
