# sk184672 - otlp_agent and cpview_exporter processes repeatedly terminate with "Exec format error"

## Symptoms

- * The OpenTelemetry Agent (`otlp_agent`) and `cpview_exporter` processes do not start and are repeatedly terminated.

* The `otlp_agent.log` contains execution errors:

  /opt/CPotlpAgent/otlp_agent: line 67: /opt/CPotlpAgent/otlp_agent_exporter: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error

* The `otlp_cpview.vs*.log` contains execution errors:

  `/opt/CPviewExporter/cpview_exporter: line 12: /opt/CPviewExporter/otlp_cpview: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error`
* The `cpinfo -y all` command confirms that the latest AutoUpdater Takes are installed.

## Cause

The Security Gateway downloaded a package set intended for a different hardware architecture. ARM?based packages (including `otlp_agent` and `cpview_exporter`) were applied on an x86 platform, which prevents Skyline binaries from loading.

Because ARM executables cannot run on x86 hardware, the Skyline processes exit immediately with `Exec format error`.
