# sk184668 - After upgrade to Identity Collector version  82.129.0000, "Ignore machine identities" is selected but Identity Collector does not ignore machine identities

## Symptoms

- * After upgrade to Identity Collector version 82.129.0000, the **Ignore machine identities** checkbox is selected, but Identity Collector does not ignore machine identities.
* The checkbox was selected prior to upgrade.

## Cause

Starting from Identity Collector version 82.129.0000, the **Ignore machine identities** checkbox behaves differently from earlier versions.

If the checkbox was selected before the upgrade, the checkbox remains selected after the upgrade, but Identity Collector does not ignore machine identities. If the checkbox was not selected before upgrade, the configuration is preserved.

In this post-upgrade example, the **Ignore machine identities checkbox** is selected but none of its identity source checkboxes (**Active Directory** , **Cisco ISE** , **Syslog** ) are selected. If you see this in Identity Collector, then Identity Collector does **not** ignore machine identities.
